OAKTREE BEARS Marie Reynecke has been making Teddy Bears since 1996. You can view the vast numbers of bears from all over the world in her studio. You can also see local teddies with a difference like Sir Harry and his wife, after who Harrismith was named. Marie has made over 500 teddy bears already and she will make them on order. All the raw materials are available at the studio and she will try to meet anybody's bear requests. Her house is a house where any teddy is welcome and they live in all the rooms of this happy home. FABRIC AND HOME CENTRE In downtown Harrismith Anitha is creating exquisite ethnic clothing and wonderful beadwork. You have to see it to appreciate it. Visit her by appointment in the shop and see for yourself. Her designs have a distinct African flavour but with a difference. She also makes embroidered Sari's and many other wonderful things. PLATBERG STUDIO Located in Warden Street this is a delight. You can have your pictures framed with a very good selection of frames. The studio specializes in photography and especially wedding photography. You can get that special gift here and there are all sorts of wonderful things that one cannot find everywhere every day. The studio even has a machine where you can have your own photos downloaded from your cell phone and printed at a very reasonable cost.
